Things have been a bit hectic - we moved house last weekend, and on Monday I visited home and went to the hospital to have a colposcopy following that abnormal smear test result. So I’ve been treated now, just have to have a check up in about six months. At least that’s out of the way for now.
It was good to see my family again. I got some pictures of my nephew this time, he’s 15 months old now and he loves showing off. He’s so cute. It’s just a pity that I only ever get to visit them in the evening when he starts getting tired and cranky before bed. Oh well.
Anyway, the new house is okay. It’s the first place I’ve ever rented in my name, which is cool. We’re living with Ste and Darren’s friends so there’s no way we’re getting kicked out of this place! Gripes: there’s no shower curtain so the bathroom floor always gets wet, the kitchen needs to be cleaned, and apparently a rat makes an appearance every now and then because we live above a take away place. I’ve been planning to get a new guinea pig so I hope the place is safe enough for him. Also, I’m kind of sad about not seeing the dog from the old house anymore. Her owners don’t treat her well (they don’t feed her enough and they keep her locked in a cage a lot of the time) and now I can’t even look after her in secret anymore. I hope she’ll be alright. I really hate witnessing neglect like that.
I should go. I have to start dinner before Ste gets home; he went up north to see his daughter today and he’s on his way back now.
I’ll upload some pictures soon.
