Finalizing Plans

Right, all. Sectus is now just under a month away, and all plans for meet-up times and locations will be finalized over the next few days. We're working to make sure that the various meet-ups don't conflict too terribly, for those who have multiple pairing and character interests.

The Bandstand by the boating lake is a very nice spot. I'd be willing to lead the way.

However, what time were you thinking? Regent's park closes at about 9:30-ish, so if we were planning on having a late meetup, we'd likely have to find a pub or something to relocate to.

Is that going to be difficult for people to find if I tell them to meet there? Should we meet near an entrance or something, and then migrate from there?

Unfortunately, I'll be working until around 17:00, so I wouldn't be able to make an afternoon meet on Thursday, but I'd love to get together later, after the opening ceremonies or whenever.

I also personally wouldn't mind if the H/D meetup overlapped with the Snarry meetup, but I understand that a lot of people would feel torn if they had to choose between the two.

Maybe we could try to get an idea of how many H/D shippers also want to attend the Snarry meetup?

See, I got hit up by a bunch of folks who wanted to do an afternoon thing, either because they just wanted something to do during the day, or because they plan to do Snarry stuff in the evening. So now I'm weighing the possibilities of doing a bit of both. I've just sent you an email with a small metric ton of questions; hopefully I can get ALL of this stuff sorted in the next few days.

The possibility always exists of doing a general slashers lunch in the park during the afternoon for anyone who can make it out, and then doing the individual H/D and Snarry in the evening at the conference. What do you think of that idea?

It's a good idea, although what about a meetup on Friday night, late, just before we get the book? Just an idea.
