I happen to have taken some positive moments from The Return Movie.  For one, Illya still had it in spades, and I enjoyed every bit of the interaction between him and Napoleon.  Admittedly, there wasn't enough of it, but... it still inspired me to write some stories based around what was there.

I picked the prompt for today's The Daily Prompt, and then remembered, after seeing some things about Mardi Gras, that I had written a story that fits the prompt.

The Masquerade

Although it isn't new, I'm sharing it in the spirit of the prompt.  The setting is after the Return Movie... and part of a series I've been doing for a few years.

Post-series, pre-1983 movie. Napoleon has lost touch with Illya since leaving UNCLE and memory is stirred by a fashion display. Could that be Illya... modelling?
