It's a sad day when your mom calls to cancel Christmas! Our normal Christmas Eve family gathering has been postponed until Friday, and Christmas day is postponed to New Years.
This is the first time I can ever remember my family (including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) not getting together on Christmas Day. It makes me sad, though I certainly understand not wanting people to take chances and drive in this yuck.
I'll have to get out of the house one way or the other though. Being stuck in the house has been difficult! I've even braved driving in it the last couple of days to get to work. I don't know if I can take it much longer - it can go away any time now!!!
On a happier note, I'm getting lots of knitting done! We have a new member of the family (cousin's new baby) and I decided to make this:

To add to the nesting I (with help) baked bran muffins, blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and I'm aching to do cinnamon rolls next.
At least I'm getting things accomplished! Who knew I could be so domestic when stuck at home?!?
