Yesterday: humor. Today: a fic that breaks my heart. I'm reccing it not only because it's wonderful, but also because it gives me a chance to post this gorgeous poem, from which the title of the story is taken:

It's snowing or sleeting or doing something winter-ish outside, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to work from home tomorrow! Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it's going to be a lot of snow -- if anything, it will be freezing rain/sleet/mixed mess. Bleh.
