Goodness, look at all the hearts and squee all over my flist -- must be Valentine's Day! Of course I'm going to add to the glut. :-D
First off, a million thank yous to the anonymous person who gave me Neruda as a virtual gift! I just...seriously, that meant so much to me. His beautiful words warmed me all day. Thanks. ♥♥♥
And thank you also to the folks who left me anonymous love in
severina2001's Valentine's extravaganza. Hopefully all of you have gone and checked out her posts there, even if you're not on her flist? Here they be:
User names A to M (and numbers!) and
User names N to Z. Go read and feel the love. :-)
AND, thank you to
lionille who wrote me this sweet little
Charlie/Neville ficlet! *smooch*
Now. For today's rec, I unapologetically bring you schmoop.
Happy Fucking Valentine's Day by

My Comments:
This is so...*whispers so Brian can't hear*...adorable. Here we have Mr. Kinney standing in front of a rack of sappy pink and red greeting cards, scarcely believing he's even there, trying find something he can buy for Justin that won't make him puke.
Will he find a card? Will Justin get the Valentine's Day gift he deserves? Will we all feel teh love? Read to find out! :-D
Excerpt:
It was all about commercialism in the end, just as it was with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, and Brian hated every last red satin sugar-coated inch.
But still, somehow he found himself there, surrounded by starry-eyed queers, staring at the latest Hallmark offerings as if somehow the stupid messages and poems could fix years of acting like he couldn’t give a shit.
He was almost disgusted by himself.
He grabbed the nearest card to try and hide his growing discomfort, but the cuddling penguins on the front didn’t exactly help matters.
“I think Sunshine’s more the kitten type!”
Brian closed his eyes. Please God, if you exist, help me now and get me the fuck out of here.
He opened his eyes again and risked a glance sideways. Deb was still there.
If you enjoy, please leave the author some V-Day love!
