Hmmm, could be! I'm sure the illustrator is influenced by movie canon the way the rest of us are, if only a little bit.
Or maybe it's the actual Colosseum -- the traveler in me likes the idea of Harry trotting around the Continent to find the various horcruxes... ;-)
