Disregard the 2/30 in the header, as this fic stands alone (though it's part of the author's magnificent Weight of a Man series, well worth reading). This is a look at an aspect of Pike's post-Narada emotional landscape that I'd never considered, and it's very moving.

Madeleine L'Engle has a very distinctive style of storytelling, and hesychasm does a lovely job of staying true to that style. Here she captures a pivotal moment in Adam and Vicky's relationship.

Heart in Hand by salifiable (Sidney Crosby/Alexander Ovechkin, NC-17, dubious consent)
I blame ella_bane for this one. I don't know a darn thing about ice hockey, and I don't normally read 130,000-word stories in unfamiliar fandoms, but she said this worked as original fic, and she was totally right. I was sucked into this story for hours. It's one part romance and one part coming out story, and I found both parts equally interesting.
If you enjoy, leave a little love for a hard-working author or artist. :-)
