Not so perfect porn
Hunh. So I discovered last night that one thing that can make me completely bored with porn is if it's too perfect. Like ... when every single sex scene leads to the most mind-blowing and amazing orgasms EVER, and the participants never take a wrong step but read each other's bodies perfectly at all times (D/S scenes seem particularly prone to this). I mean, yeah, I'm all for mind-blowing sex, but when it happens over and over and over again in a fic, and when nothing ever goes wrong or feels awkward ... it gets tedious. At least it does for me. I mean, don't these people ever have an off night? A mismatched kink or two? Are they even human?
I get that fanfic is where we fulfill a lot of our fantasies, and most of the time I'm all over that ... but sometimes I just want to read something a little more grounded in real life.
