Hmm, long time no post! I'm here, just not in much of a posting mood lately. I spent most of Saturday and Sunday obsessively watching Wimbledon tennis (Vamos Rafa! ♥).
I have missed several birthdays, namely for tray_la_la and mysid -- hope you ladies had lovely birthdays!
Question: Can anyone recommend a good free email client? My Lycos account seems to be down as often as it's up lately and I'm afraid it's just going to disappear one of these days. I already have Yahoo and Hotmail accounts so I don't want another of those (I like to stay logged in all the time), and I don't like Gmail. Any recommendations?
In other news, I read the most fantastic RPS fic last night, featuring the figure skater Johnny Weir:
Iowa by rhiannonhero (NC-17, warnings on fic*)
If you watch figure skating at all and have any idea who Johnny Weir is, I highly, highly urge you to give this fic a try. Rhi's Johnny is a wonderfully complex, talented, sexy, and flawed-but-lovable character, and the emotional journey he takes over the course of the fic is heartbreaking and hopeful all at once. Add to that several amazing OC's and some deliciously kinky sex that's not only hot but also integral to the characterization, and you get one of the best fics I've read in a while.
