ST Fic Recs
I'm an idiot. I went several days without getting any LJ comment reply notifications in my email, so I freaked out and opened a support ticket -- and then realized that somehow I had turned them off myself. *facepalm* A few days ago I went in to delete something I was tracking and I guess I must have clicked randomly and unchecked the wrong box? Heh.

Fever by canis_takahari (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17, sex toys)
*flail* And also NNNNGH. Everything this author writes is amazing, and this is the absolute perfect combination of humor (Pike only has one line in this, but it had me rolling on the floor) and bone-melting porn. It starts with Jim walking in on Bones getting himself off with a dildo and only gets hotter from there. Oh, bottom!Bones, how are you so delicious???
Rich, not gaudy by janice_lester (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17, cross-dressing)
This fic has a sort of similar theme to the one above -- Jim discovering a sexual secret of Bones's and going to town with it -- but it takes a slightly more serious approach. There's still plenty of humor and hotness, but there's an undercurrent of tenderness and acceptance here that makes me really happy. ♥
Happy Lies, Harder Truths by silverlining-99 (Kirk/Chapel, Kirk/McCoy/Chapel, R-ish)
How nifty of a premise is this -- Kirk and Chapel hooking up for fun, with Bones being all cranky about it because he has no idea they both really want him? Cue lots of misunderstandings, angst, flirting, and sexytimes. I especially loved Jim in this -- he's a bright, goofy, sexy force of nature.
The Care and Feeding of Your Starship Captain by dsudis (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17, spanking/BDSM)
Oh my mercy, this is hot. I am a sucker for fics where Bones knows exactly what Jim needs, even if Jim doesn't know himself. But perhaps the hottest part of this (and in my opinion, the most in character) is Jim's fierceness in submission. GUH.
The Toil's Left Its Mark by tosca1390 (Kirk/McCoy, R)
This fic is a delicious slow burn, with Jim and Bones edging around each other and letting things go unspoken until they finally, finally get it together (largely thanks to Chapel, who has a great cameo).
Lunch and Other Obscenities by rheanna27 (Uhura, Gaila, background Spock/Uhura, PG-13)
This is one of the best gen fics I've read so far in this fandom. It's a wonderful look at Gaila and Uhura's friendship (which in this fic does not spring up immediately) and at the cultural clashes that would inevitably result at a place like Starfleet Academy. This is an engaging and extremely well constructed fic -- very satisfying.
Benefits by penknife (Kirk/Gaila, background Spock/Uhura, NC-17, bondage/BDSM)
This is a fic with a pretty major sex scene, but it's mostly about friendship. I really love this Gaila, the way she seems to see the world as a series of rewarding challenges, and penknife's Jim broke my heart a little. The background Spock/Uhura is beautifully written too.
Beginning by izzyfics (McCoy/Sulu, PG-13ish?)
This is my favorite rare pair these days, and izzyfics has written a lovely ficlet for it at my request. It starts with Jim ever-so-subtly trying to set Bones up with Sulu, but that doesn't quite go as planned. Or does it? :-)
