I know this ultra-rare pairing probably won't appeal to many, but the fic is only 2,000 words, so I urge you to give it a try. What draws Dean and Albus Severus together is Albus's desire to be an artist, and the fic has wonderful descriptions of the paintings and photos created by the two main characters. The bittersweetness of Albus's growth as both an artist and a person is rendered beautifully as well.

What was Brian's encounter with his gym teacher really like? Despite the way Brian describes it in 101 (or perhaps because of the way he describes it -- he's not exactly known for being honest about his own feelings), I have a feeling merkuria's version is pretty darn near the truth. I found this very painful to read, and all the better for it.
Waiting to Sleep by justinlovesart (Brian/Justin, PGish)
Speaking of ouchy things, justinlovesart has written a gorgeous, melancholy gapfiller for 414, exploring the faultlines in Brian and Justin's relationship in her characteristically understated fashion. The way she uses snow imagery in this just slays me.

I have no idea where these outfits came from, and I don't care. This is just hot, particularly Jim wearing a skirt with his head thrown back in ecstasy. Yes, please.

Lessons by ggo85 (McCoy gen, with a little background Spock/Uhura and past McCoy/OFC, PG-13)
I just spent a good hour or two completely absorbed by this story. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys Bones as a character and/or likes reading about the everyday workings of life on the Enterprise. There's no real romance to speak of, just lots of interesting medicine and a wonderfully believable take on Bones and the rest of the crew finding their way into their new roles over the first three months of their mission. (Note: This is a sequel to Complications, but you don't need to read that first in order to appreciate Lessons, and I think the latter is a stronger fic.)
The Doctor and the Kid by gentlest_sin (Kirk/McCoy, R)
This fic is based on the idea that maybe Jim and Bones didn't immediately become friends the second they talked to each other on the shuttle. The way the author writes it, I believed in this premise completely. If you're looking for a long, satisfying fic with plenty of insights into the characters of both Bones and Jim, this is highly recommended.
This is a War, Not a Garden Party by midnight_city (Kirk/McCoy, R, AU)
Remember that mailman!Jim AU that I recced a while back? It now has a sequel! This one is about a little blip in Jim and Bones's "happily ever after." Funny and sweet.
The Little Vulcan by ayalesca with art by mangotrills (Spock, McCoy, Kirk, gen, G)
Absolutely exquisite retelling of The Little Prince with Star Trek characters. There's a gentle, contemplative quality to this fic that I really enjoyed, and the art is the perfect complement to it.
A Quick Study by garryowen (Pike/Sulu, NC-17, possible consent issues)
Mmmmmm. Naughty student/teacher sex here, with Pike abusing his authority a bit and Sulu pretty much gagging for it. Yum.
Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before by singingintime (Uhura, Kirk, gen, PG-13)
Wonderful piece about Jim and Nyota getting into some trouble on a mission and generally proving themselves not only good officers but also -- finally -- good friends.

This author has a particular talent for writing UST, and it's on full display here -- the whole fic is one long, slow burn. Guhhhh.

Dude, just that list of warnings is enough to make me drool, and the fic is even hotter (and I don't even particularly like RPF!). Written for the prompt Zoe with a strapon and Chris wants it so. Bad. *faints*
