My post for today is sort of tangentially related to that topic, but it's more like a part two of yesterday's topic (arts and entertainment). This is a pic spam of art by women and women in art.

Oh yay, I was hoping you'd post a few of your favorites. The first one looks familiar -- what museum is that from? *googles* Oh, is it at the Uffizi? I think I've seen it! Very powerful.

And wow, I especially love that last one. There's something haunting about it.

There are two versions, quite similar, one at the Uffizi and one at Capodimonte, Naples. This is the Capodimonte version.

The one by Dolron is a photograph, staged and lit like a Vermeer (Dolron is Dutch). She's one of my favourite photographers.
