Community Posts
Because the userinfo deals with the rules for the swap extensively, we thought it be a good idea to go over the basic rules for posting to the community here.
The Required Post: Swap rules require that you post to the community at least once a month to acknowledge receiving your gift here. The post can be as long or as short as you would like, but please do not bash what you receive in this post, or in your journal. Feel free to publish pics if you're inclined, write a thank you note, grandma would be proud of or just tell the tale of receiving it! :-)
Part of the purpose of this is to make sure that packages are being sent and received on time. So we need these posts to go up fairly close to when you receive the package, within a day or two at most. Please do this. If your mod doesn't see your post, she'll be contacting both you and your SP to find what's going on.
All Others: Yes, feel free to post about swap related stuff here! Feel free to ask a knitting/crochet question of your fellow knitters/crocheters here! In short this is a community, and it welcomes the conversation. The more we chat, the better we get to know each other; the better we get to know each other, the more we'll enjoy the swap! =D
LJ-iquette: Please use the lj cut for large blocks of texts--anything you have to scroll the page to read--and all pictures in every post! It's not only polite, it doesn't cause certain styles friends' pages to scroll horribly wrongwise. If you miss this, you'll be requested to fix it by one of the mods. If you spot this, please let one of the mods know, we'll take care of the issue. :-)
FYI: We have all of you into groups, and are beginning the process of grouping you together. So watch this space for an announcement when we start sending out your assignments. ;-) In the meantime, get ready. The questionnaire will be posted to the community before you know it!
