Communities Guide
An idea derived from whedonland, here at atlaland we have separate communities for different types of challenges, rather than keeping everything in one place. This tends to make things run smoother and, in the long run, is less confusing than keeping everything in one community.
atlaland
This is ATLA Land's main community. Most everything you need to know will be posted here for you to see, whether that's the challenges and games in the sidebar or new rules/additions to the community. This is one of the two most important communities here.
earth_kingdom, the_fire_nation, the_air_nomads, and the_water_tribe
These four communities are the team communities at ATLA Land. Your team community is the second most important community here. The teams are run by their own mods and will oftentimes have daily-to-weekly updates of all the new things happening in ATLA Land. In addition, teams will also have fun activities within themselves that aren't for points but rather to just have fun. It's important to get to know your team, so don't hesitate to participate in the challenges and memes there if you have the time!

The Jasmine Dragon is center to all the game-oriented challenges at ATLA Land. You gets points not only for completing the games, but also for simply participating! Games can be anything from word games to jigsaw puzzles to sudoku to random luck games, so you'll never know just what you'll find here!
atla_thelibrary
The Spirit Library will house, appropriately, all the writing challenges in ATLA Land. The length of the writing can be anything from short drabbles to longer one-shots and will typically be prompted. Writing challenges will occur roughly once a week.

The Boiling Rock is the art and media challenge community. Art can be anything from graphics (icons, banners, headers, etc.) to traditional artwork, and media in the most part will refer to video challenges. Art contests will generally be more common than video contests, but keep an eye out if your an AMV maker for your time to shine!
atlacactusjuice
The Cactus Juice Bar is the no-points community. There will be contests and challenges, but they will be for fun and not for points. This is also one of the two communities other than your home team that you can post entries in, whether that be of your Avatar fanfiction and graphics or some interesting bit of news you've heard concerning the show or any of its movies that are coming out! (Please do not bash the movies here; if you want to rant about them there are other communities for that.)

We're all friends here, right? Well, we all want to be, anyway! If you want to make a request of your fellow atlaland players, whether for icons, fic, or anything, ask here! In addition, we will have spontaneous ARK threads (Acts of Random Kindness) for people to GIVE gifts as well! Special gift-giving challenge entries will also be posted at this comm for all to see.

Lastly, this very community is a community for the moderators to plan and stay organized. There will be some public posts (like this one) but for the most part posts will be locked. The Order of the White Lotus is very secretive, so don't request to join. Anything you need to know will either be publicly accessible or in another one of the many ATLA Land communities.
