We laugh at the man who stumbled this morning, but we do not know the blows he took yesterday. We mock the fear in his eyes, but we do not know how many stones he has ducked, or darts he has dodged.
Are they too loud?
Maybe they fear being neglected again.
Too timid?
Maybe they fear failing again.
Too slow?
Maybe they stumbled the last time they hurried.
