some hanakimi random comparisons + ouran live action?
Okay, so. Apparently, for my father, sports > family. So, despite it being my last day here, he's parked in front of the TV watching a golf tournament, even though I clearly expressed wanting to go out. Uh huh. Yeah.
Anyway. I've seen some of the commercials and pictures for Hanakimi, and there are a few observations I made that made me lawl.
I was thinking that despite Horikita's short hair and boyish look she has now, something was off. I couldn't place my finger on it, but then I eventually realized it was because her hair's black. And Mizuki doesn't have black hair. Go figure.
And I was thinking, she looks like someone else... And then I realized that she makes me think of Haruhi from Ouran with her current hairstyle rather than Mizuki. xD
Ignore that the hair part is backwards. But I think Horikita looks more like she should be playing Haruhi right now.
Speaking of Ouran, there's a rumor that it'll get a live action, too. Which totally made me go "DO NOT WANT TO THE MAX" because honestly, they won't be able to pull it off. No. That series is made of win because it's 2D. It would be lame if they did it in 3D.
Anyway. I'm pretty sure it's just a rumor, but there's a "cast list" circulating the Japanese blogs. I'm almost positive that they got the Ouran live action confused with the Hanakimi live action, judging from this "cast list".
Fujioka Haruhi - Horikita Maki (No explanation needed, see above comparison pictures.)
Suou Tamaki - Yamamoto Yuusuke (Also the guy playing Nakatsu's roommate in Hanakimi.)
Ohtori Kyouya - Mizushima Hiro (Guy playing Nanba the player in Hanakimi.)
Ijyuuin Hikaru & Kaoru - Izaki Twins from FLAME (OBJECTION OBJECTION OBJECTION UP THE WAZOO KTHNX.)
Haninozuka Kunimitsu - Kamiki Ryuunosuke (Apparently, he was very Honey-esque a few years ago, but no longer. He's also young.)
Morinozuka Takashi - Daitou Shunsuke (I... he doesn't strike me as Mori. At all.)
Houshakuji Renge - Nakagawa Shouko (HAHAHA YES PLEASE.)
Ranka (Haruhi's Dad) - Tanihara Shousuke (OMG ANOTHER YES PLEASE CASTING.)
Nekozawa Umeto - Wakaba Ryuuya (*shrugs.* I don't know.)
There's others, too, but I'm too lazy to list them all. There's also been talk about Wentz Eiji playing Tamaki (which I would totally support) or Nekozawa (I would also support this), along with Ueto Aya playing Haruhi.
But these are just rumors and I hope they stay as such.
Also, I've also observed that Horikita-as-Mizuki reminds of someone else. Namely, one Tegoshi Yuuya when he was in My Boss, My Hero. xD
