I love the right half of my suite.
So, I was having to read speeches by Malcom X for my Religious Studies class, and I was doing it next door. And I noticed that he kept using "cracker" as a derogatory word for whites. And yes, I know it's a bad word, but for me, it just sounds... weird. So I voiced this, and Kayla, who's part white and part Chinese starts giggling because she thinks it's an absurd insult too.
And then she says the quote of the night.
In the context of if whites were "crackers"...
"Then I'm a cracker with cheese."
Me: *DIES* That's...so...bad...but so awesome at the same time.
Ah, yes. I love these types of statements.
Also, I do not have much love for the left side of the suite right now. Or at least one of the rooms.
Why?
Well, I was in the shower when they started playing soccer in the bathroom. So, imagine taking a shower in a tiny contained space where the only thing separating you from the rest of the bathroom is a flimsy, cheap curtain. And there are loud banging noises and you also hear one of your friends almost get hit in the head with the soccer ball as she enters the bathroom.
Yeah. Not fun. Seriously. I was about to have a heart attack when one extremely loud "bang" sounded.
My roommate actually came to check on me to ask me if I was alive. I answered "Well...kinda", and the soccer seemed to cease after that, thankfully. Although I may have heard some gossip afterwards.
But yeah. Apparently, they got in trouble, and my roommate went to talk to them too. So all's okay for now.
Wow. I think that's the longest post I had about my personal life in a while. Heh.
