I meant to do things for Three Weeks for Dreamwidth. Maybe next year.
I did put a series of prompts in the trans fic mini fest, one of which has been filled, so I need to read it. (Sorry I'm not going to link. I'm updating from my iPad and it is real nuisance for coding and for flipping between the text document I have to write the post in and browser to copy the links from. Also I'm down of an adrenaline high, see below.)
I got an awesome remix! Harry Potter, Remus/Sirius, from one of my New Year Ficlets. It's wonderful to come back to them.
My remixee likes what I did, too, which is awesome and a relief. I think I've gotten over my thinking that doing things the way that easier for me to do is cheating, but I'm nevertheless sure that this story has my fingerprints all over it. It's not a pairing I've really written before, although it's certainly one of my pairings. As traditional: a cookie (fic) for anyone who guesses correctly which is mine.
Speaking of fingerprints, the remix that was written for me includes the clause "to fête their surviving this long". It's like it was written specifically for me! with my favourite grammatical constructions and turns of phrase. :-)
In completely unrelated news, I now own a pair of roller blades/in line skates. And all the requisite safety gear. Oh, boy. I've gotten the hang of going over smooth surfaces but that hardly describe any of the footpaths around here. I feel over twice just going to the corner and coming back, so the $30 in wrist and knee guards was a good investment. The plan is to eventually blade home from work. But not in the near future. Still it is the most exciting form of exercise I have to do. Once I've worked out how to stop, I'll be able to go around the park.
