OK, yesterday was an *amazing* day.

I woke up early in NYC, like around 6 AM (early for someone allegedly on vacation). I was wide-awake, so I took a nice hot shower, since I liked the Grand Hyatt's shower so much, then I dressed and went to the top floor of the hotel to the Fitness Center, which provided a pretty awesome view of Manhattan while I worked out. They had free-weights, machines, cardio, etc. Also, plasmas with ESPN on them were everywhere! I was happy.

I headed out to my Who Wants To Be A Millionaire audition around 11 AM, and got there plenty early, even given a small delay in the subway. While waiting in the long line outside of the ABC Studios on 66th, I was picked as a subject for a documentary by a camera crew. They are producing a documentary on the entire game show process of Millionaire . They were really nice to me, and furthermore, they were rooting for me since they had spent a good deal of time talking to me outside. Maybe they'll help me get picked?

Anyway, I took the exam. It seemed harder this time, but still the same format (30 questions, every topic, 10 minutes, Scantron). I wasn't real worried about my performance...probably guessed right on a few though, too. I passed (they didnt tell me my score). About 16 out of 200 passed this time. Oddly, 3 out of the 4 people at my table passed, which is a statistical anomoly.

The last part of the audition was an interview with one of the show producers, a nice woman named Jennifer. She accepted my application and ran through it with me really quickly, and we had a great 5-minute conversation. I said and did everything I could do to soft-sell myself, and I walked out feeling like a winner! The documentary crew was happy that I passed, and we spent another 5 minutes on the camera, so maybe I'll get a few seconds of air-time...I'll post on here if I find out when it's going to air.

The rest of the day was also amazing. Those who know me well know that I simply do not shop. After the Millionaire interview, I went back to the hotel and napped, and when I awoke around 3 pm, I decided that, dammit, I was in the commercial capital of the US, I was going to shop! All in all, I blew about $1000, almost all of it on clothes. I found some really hot jeans at Banana, etc.

I finished the evening drinking at the ESPN Zone in Times Square. Such fun.
