It's late, and I'm bored and lazy, so here's a meme.

Jul 19, 2010 03:16

It's 3.00 am, I'm bored, and I have writer's block.
So it's meme-time and catch-up-on-comment-responses-time, which will be followed shortly after by Netflix time.

1. Whats your name spelt backwards?
Spillhip. Wow. I didn't realize how weird that is until just now - as in, I've been alive for 23 years and it's never occurred to me until now to spell my last name backwards.

2. What did you do last night?
Drove all over North Hollywood looking for Kassie's sister's phone, drove home, and played big spoon.

No, but it sounds like the sort of thing I'd do.

5. Last time you swam in a pool?
Too long ago.

6. What are you wearing?
It's goddamn hot, so I'm lounging around in my underwear. Which currently consist of a black lace bra and bright pink, white, and orange lace panties.

Two, a black 2001 Ford Ranger and a black 2007 Nissan Sentra.

8. Type of music you dislike most?
R&B

9. Are you registered to vote?
Yep, but not in the state I live in.

I prefer Sager gaming laptops, but since mine broke I've been relying on a little Toshiba netbook.

Nopers.

13. You like anyone right now?
I like lots of people. If you're talking about tee-hee-like-like, you could say so.

14. Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving?
Oh, hell yes. I'd be terrified, and I'd love every minute of it.

15. Furthest place you ever traveled?
Albany, New York.

16. Do you have a garden?
No, but I really, really want one.

17. What's your favorite comic strip?
Gary Larson's The Far Side

18. Do you know all the words to the national A?
Nopers. Something about rockets red glare and explosions and self-indulgent preening and a really ugly color scheme, right?

19. Shower, morning or night?
No real preference. I usually end up taking them at night, though.

20. Best movie you've seen in the past month?
Toss-up between the Machinist and Toy Story 3. Memento was excellent, too.

21. Favorite pizza toppings?
You're going to think I'm completely and utterly disgusting, but I love anchovies, garlic and olives. Haven't had any in forever, though, because even when I can find pizza places that will accomodate my gastronomic hijinks, the people I'm eating with threaten to exile me and my terrifying breath to the front porch for the rest of the night.

Popcorn.

23. What cell phone provider do you have?

Three days ago. I was poking around in the back yard on a mission to collect nectarines, and I spied a forgotten tomato plant with a beautiful little fruit on it. I'm not usually a fan of raw tomatoes, but this one was delicious.

Nope. I've won an Elvis impersonation contest, though.

33. Favorite computer game?
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year edition, and Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. Oldies but goodies.
and Portal. Can't forget Portal.
I'm so behind on videogames; I put myself on an embargo when I was in school because I didn't want to get distracted. I've never even played Half-Life 2. *hangs head*
As soon as I get my hands on a computer with gaming capabilities, I'm going to fix that.

Nope.

35. Sprite or 7-UP?
Neither.

The work boots and carpenter jeans I wore to my job at the welding shop were sort of a uniform, in the sense that you'd be a damn fool to wear anything else in that sort of environment.

Nope. I have thankfully been spared that indignity.

Finding true love.

40. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Nope. I believe in lust at first sight, and infatuation at very-quickly-after-first-sight, but love itself takes a little more time. Sometimes, it doesn't take very much longer, but in my opinion it's impossible to genuinely fall in love with someone without ever so much as talking to them.

41. Can exes just be friends?
Yes, but it takes quite a long time in most cases, and in my experience, the friendship often has odd undercurrents at times. If those issues can be overcome, exes can become really valuable friends.

I don't remember.

43. Did you have long hair as a young kid?
Nope. My hair has always been really fine and difficult to grow out/tame.

44. What message is on your voicemail machine?
About twelve of them. I'm really bad about checking my voicemails.

45. Where would you like to go right now?
I'd love to take a road-trip to Bellingham, Washington, hop on a ferry headed North, and get off three days later back home in Alaska. I haven't been home during the summer in four years, and I'd love to spend some time with my parents.

46. What was the name of your first pet?
Mr. Beans.

47. What kind of back pack do you have, and what's in it?
I have a little astronaut-print Tokidoki purse full of all kinds of random stuff - a bunch of medication bottles, chapstick, nail clippers, my wallet, my keys, a baby iPod, my Six Flags pass booklet, gum, my medical ID bracelet, a pen, a pad of Post-its, and a couple notes from my friends back at college that I carry with me because they make me happy.

My future, and the uncertainties therein. I worry too much.
