Elaine tried again, but nothing sparked from her fingers - none of the familiar green-white electricity that she had been so used to for years. It had only been a couple of days but it felt like a lifetime - magic was so much a part of her that to have it missing felt as if she were missing a piece of herself, something as intrinsic as her emotions or her thoughts.

And with Morgana gone, the city was so damn quiet. The monsters were gone and the fog had cast an ominous shadow over the famous American skyline - if ever there was a darkest hour, she had the feeling that they were fast approaching it. Never mind her thoughts of where the other woman had vanished to - it unnerved her to think that their world was slowly falling apart while they were stuck there.

The trio hadn't said a word.

Sighing, Elaine looked up at the violet-hued night, finally taking in some much needed fresh air. Trapped. She hated this.
