Linkara hadn't moved this fast in quite a while. It was one thing to have random people show up at the Bean and ask for help; it was something else entirely to have his girlfriend, one of the people he'd been missing most, arrive in the city. He'd grabbed his gun and gone, stopping only once on the way - to knock on Terra's door, explain the situation in twenty words or less, and ask for backup. Much as he was eager to meet Liz, he didn't want to run into a group of blampires or Mechakara, wherever the bucket of bolts had gotten off to, without backup.

"I told her we'd meet her on the way," he explained, mid-stride in the very fast walk he'd been using. "I just hope we don't pass each other by completely."

Terra wouldn't have needed a long explanation anyway. Linkara had quickly become a best friend to him and that meant all Linkara really had to do was just say the word and Terra would be by his side.

Which he was, literally right now since they were running together. Well, not so much running and moving quickly. Terra could tell Linkara was excited and he couldn't blame him, he would be too if the tides were reversed. Besides, Terra was curious to meet friends of Linkara's, so far he'd only met Mechakara and that was no friend.

"Don't worry. We'll meet her I'm sure." Linkara had a bond with this Iron Liz and Terra had no doubts that the bonds of the heart would bring them together. If only he knew how wrong he was.

Judas heard two pairs of footsteps running toward her. She was right, he was bringing backup. At least it only sounded like one other person. She waited a moment for them to pass as she hid in the alley. He looked a lot tougher than herself, but knowing she was going to have to strike now if she was ever going to get a chance at the Champion, she was going to have to take the risk, relying on the element of surprise. At least he didn't appear to be armed.

In a swift, silent motion, she darted out of the alley, behind the two of them, and grabbed Linkara's friend by the wrist, twisting his arm sharply behind his back as she touched Frostmourne's blade to his neck. A wicked smile crossed her face as she made eye contact with Linkara.

"Hello, lover."

He heard the extra set of footsteps, heard the sudden and complete stop, and started turning around, but it didn't really click until he heard the voice. It was that same voice that had brought him out here - it belonged to his girlfriend, but at the same time the words were just wrong. "Liz?" He couldn't help but gape a bit.

Never mind just the words - all of this was wrong. Liz would never use those words, especially not in that tone; she'd never wait in the shadows; she wouldn't attack Terra, not if it was obvious he was with Linkara, which it was; and-

-And that was the wrong sword.

He wasn't gaping for long. A split second later, everything clicked, and his face twisted into a snarl, the magic gun out of his holster and pointed at her - as much of her as he could see behind Terra, at least - in the blink of an eye. "Who are you? And what did you do to Iron Liz?"

There wasn't much of a chance for Terra to react when he felt someone grab his wrist and twist his arm up. It was painful and Terra froze because he knew if he moved too much it could break it in a grip like that. What was more troublesome was the blade suddenly at his throat, that was not good and would make getting out of this even more difficult ( ... )

Red flashed before Judas's eyes when Terra's head met her face, and she had no choice but to unhand him as she stumbled backward, clutching her nose quickly to check for blood and trying to quickly shake the stars out of her vision.

Her nose thankfully didn't appear to be broken. She would have had his head right then and there if he caused her to bleed all over herself and ruin her nice clothes. She shot a death glare at him, then directed her attention back to the Champion, whose signature magic gun now had perfect access to her. Not the best circumstances to keep up her charade, but she worked with what she had.

"Judas Liz, at your service, Champion." she said, resuming her air of gleeful wickedness, "Oh don't you worry about Iron Liz. She's still alive...for now. That was the truth, of course; she hadn't touched Iron Liz since she left Lord Vyce to his doom. But even the truth could be taken the wrong way; it was all in the delivery. She gave Linkara a special look as she said it, too. Surely he was going to attack her any ( ... )

Any other time, Linkara would have grinned and made some sort of crack about Terra being just that hard-headed. This situation was different, namely in that it was intensely personal and Linkara was just a little bitter that one of the few good things the city looked to be tossing his way had turned so evil so quickly ( ... )

As soon as he was clear he got away, half rolling half stumbling to get to Linkara's side and away from the crazy woman trying to kill them. Well, threaten them, she hadn't really TRIED to kill them yet. He felt a little guilty smashing her nose but he hadn't really had a choice. Terra stood up next to Linkara and held out his hand, lights swirling slowly together to form the large keyblade he used in battle.

She wouldn't catch him defenseless again.

Otherwise, Terra was clueless. Apparently this woman looked and sounded like Linkara's girl friend but she wasn't, at least, that's what he guessed considering Linkara's reaction to her. "What should we do Linkara?" He didn't want to attack her because he figured there was a reason Linkara hadn't attacked her yet. "Is this like Mechakara? Is she a copy of your girl friend?"

"Believe whatever you want, Champion." Judas replied casually, twirling Frostmourne in one hand, watching her blade shimmer. With a sideways glance she saw Terra summoning his keyblade, and smirked. Did he really expect that thing to stand up to her in a sword fight?

"But that's neither here nor there," She stood firmly, suddenly gripping the sword tightly in a battle stance, "I came here to fight, so let's see if your friend's nerves are as hard as his skull!"

And with that she lunged at Terra.

It wasn't a yes. It wasn't a no either. Unfortunately, Linkara had used up all his patience with ambiguities during his dealings with the Postmen; he had none left right now - not for this, and not for her.

He didn't even have time to answer Terra (as much of an answer as "I don't know" ever was) before Judas Liz was attacking him. On the one hand, he pretty much figured that attacking Terra was akin to suicide; on the other hand, he had no idea what this Judas Liz was capable of, and he was not about to leave his friend, whom he'd dragged into this mess in the first place, to fight her without backup. He squeezed the trigger twice, firing two bursts of magical energy at Judas Liz.

If Iron Liz really was in there, she'd forgive him.

Terra was a little confused. For someone with what was obviously a beef with Linkara, Judas Liz sure was going after him a lot. Perhaps she saw him as a weakness to get to Linkara. Well, she was in for a rude surprise. Terra may not officially have the title of Master Keyblader but he was at that skill level regardless.

As Linkara opened fire, Terra moved forward to attack. He still didn't know this person, other than a name. He couldn't be sure if this was Linkara's girlfriend somehow trapped in her own body, a doppleganger, or what. That meant that, unfortunately, he would have to fight a little more cautiously just to be safe. If Judas Liz managed to dodge or withstand the magical energy bursts she would soon find her sword clanging against the metal of the keyblade.

By some stroke of luck, Judas just barely evaded the blasts from the magic gun, and steel met steel as she struck against Terra's keyblade. It held strong against her force.

This was proving to be more trouble than she was expecting. She kept her focus between the two of them, thinking fast. The next order of business would be to get rid of that pesky weapon of Linkara's. She hated it when they brought guns to a swordfight. Her sword still holding the keyblade back, she bent with a high sideways kick to Linkara's hand, knocking the gun to the ground, where she caught it under her boot.

((Lemme know if this doesn't work for you Kia D: ))

This wasn't the first time Linkara had been disarmed in battle. It was, however, the first time his gun had been kicked out of his hand. He pulled his hand back, thinking fast. No projectile weapon anymore and getting involved on a swordfight barehanded was pretty far up on the list of suicidally stupid ideas. All he had was-

He plunged his hand into his pocket, popping the top off the little plastic tube of garlic powder, and threw the powder into Judas Liz's face.

Things were happening very fast, but that was to be expected in a fight like this. Judas Liz kicked the gun out of Linkara's hand and Terra broke the force between the two, jumping back. This was his opening though. He saw Linkara going for his pocket, he didn't know what was there but he had a feeling it would be advantageous.

Terra rushed forward behind the power, swinging the keyblade again to either disarm Judas Liz or knock her down.

The minute the powder hit her face, Judas exclaimed a very loud "FUCK!" While she wasn't a vampire, garlic powder in the eyes still stung like nobody's business. The keyblade struck her in the side of the head and she fell gracelessly to the ground, a hand over her face as she struggled to clear the irritating powder from her vision, or at the very least snort out what went up her nose.

Linkara couldn't help but smirk at the loud profanity - it meant the fight had turned his way. Of course, Terra knocking Judas Liz off her feet helped too. He lunged forward, picking up the magic gun, then kicked her sword out of her hand. The garlic powder might've been a distraction, but he wasn't taking any chances.

It was at times like this that he wished he could cock the magic gun - that sound was intimidating, even though his weapon didn't work that way. That didn't stop him from standing over her, pointing it down at her face. "Game, set, and match, Judas Liz. How about some answers this time?"
