Fleur climbed her way to the roof of the hotel in her Louis Vuitton stilettos instead of taking the elevator. The shoes had been a splurge, if one could even call it that here, a way to make herself feel better about recent happenings....
About Bill disappearing.
She had intending on spending the evening in the bar, mingling with the empty people... Taking her mind off of her fiancee’s disappearance. But that suddenly felt flighty and vain and it was the last thing the witch wanted to do now. No, right now she just wanted to sit on the edge of the roof and look out at the city, let the wind whip at her regardless of whether or not she wore a cloak or jacket. Right now she wanted to feel numb.
Bill had scarcely been here, but that was beside the point. It was just after she admitted that she may never see him again... That’s when he showed up. Her gaze stared blankly ahead as her body gave an involuntary shiver, the wind raising gooseflesh on her arms. The little black dress she wore did nothing to protect her from the chill. She really didn’t care.
She leaned forward and cradled her head in her hands while her elbows rested on her knees. She didn’t even get to say goodbye.
