[Ebenezar sways, tilting forward as the ship rocks on the water, and he braces himself with his staff. He's no longer in old worn denim and flannel, but in equally worn leather and sailcloth, the clothes stiff with old salt. He looks around, squinting up and down at the stars, then at the man wearing the hat]

This ain't Lake Michigan. And ain't no man here got masters, you hear me?

Knives didn't seem to have any trouble standing on the swaying ship. She also pulled both her blades out of their holsters and was ready to dance with every pirate rock star on the deck. She wasn't yet, because she didn't want to start a fight that might get the others killed. She was sure she could take them, ninjas did rule over pirates, and pirates were not in this season. She was calm, collected, and having no trouble breathing.

The breathing is important, because she's wearing a corset. In fact, her usual hipster wear was replaced with a wench ensemble, black like her usual ninja gear. So it was sort of a pirate goth wench thing, with knives and a scarf. "Why do you guys think we are here?"

Also, next to her head everyone who hasn't met Knives already is greeted with a textbox. Knives Chau: 17 Years Old. (Likes the corset, but not the rest of her outfit.)

Toph was not a happy camper. First of all, she was on a wooden ship, in the middle of Avatar-knows-where, and not around anything she could bend. She also realized that she suddenly appeared to be wearing different clothes, but that was a minor inconvenience. (She couldn't tell, but Toph is now sporting a bandanna around her head with a red and white striped shirt and baggy pants made out of canvas. She was still barefoot.)

Toph responded to the girl's voice. "Who cares. Can't we just find some land first before fighting?" She had taken a seat on the far end of the ship away from the what sounded like pirates. The motion of the boat wasn't really helping her stomach. The could loot all they wanted, she didn't care, as long as they eventually made it to land without drowning.

Ships were no big thing for Spin, but he didn't like being on them suddenly, out of nowhere. He figured it was best not to focus on the wide-stretching expanse of water surrounding them and instead on the rather threatening-looking men holding their weapons at the ready. But it was probably just as upsetting for him to realize his outfit had been completely rearranged, his well-pressed suit and tie replaced with a much less refined loose shirt and vest.

Pulling his new headwrap low around his ears, the Agent cast a look over the whole scene. These guys really didn't look like some haggard treasure-hunters in need of the Village People... But it didn't seem that very many of those shown up alongside him cared to play it safe.

"No need to get testy, here." Tucking his thumbs into his cloth belt, he kept a wary eye on the pirates. "Fighting don't gotta be the first option, does it?"

Finding himself in new places was nothing new to Axel, in principle. But getting pulled into another brand new place was hardly the same, as he took a moment to glance around at their new surroundings. He couldn't say he was thrilled about being out in what was presumably open water, but on the bright side he wouldn't be short of kindling - if he felt rather suicidal about the whole thing, anyway.

The outfit change wasn't half bad though, even if he did miss his usual get-up. This one was distinctly lacking in gloves, although he did manage to pull off look surprisingly well, even with his wildly spiked hair. Some things never changed.

"How about we hear what we're here for first?"

On the one hand, Sora was, to put it lightly, tickled pink that pirates were involved in this, and that he was suddenly dressed up like a pirate himself. Going to new places that came with a bonus costume change wasn't all that wierd to Sora, it was par for the course, really.

On the other hand, given the context of the situation, Sora knew not to get all caught up in the idea of playing pirate, however cool Sora found it. And frankly, th fact that they were suddenly on a boat in the middle of the ocean was rather suspious.

"I can't imagine that whatever we're here for is a good thing..." Sora said, adjusting the tricorn hat that somehow managed to fit over his spiky hair.

[Derek was on his way to meet Starr for the boat exploration, but somehow he wound up on another boat entirely and dressed like a pirate.]

[And where did his shades go?]

... ... ...

[He had nothing to say to them, so he focused on what he could hear and kept his eyes on the men before him.]

"This would have been awesome at Halloween," Billy commented, tugging at his new clothes. But, he added silently, it wouldn't help him any if he needed to become a wolf, and that put him on edge. Of course, he probably wouldn't be doing that any time soon; it didn't exactly make him invincible to gun shots.

He looked around at the others that had arrived with him - eying that pop up window with confusion for a moment; that was new - until his eyes stopped on Sora as he spoke. That got him thinking, remembering the most recent posts from that guy...

"You don't think they brought us here to steal something? Like with the Statue of David?" he asked finally, keeping his voice low in hopes that the pirates wouldn't hear.

[The captain doesn't seem too concerned over their confusion and muted aggression. Instead, he descends the rest of the stairs and walks towards the group, hand still quietly drumming against the holster at his side] Lads, it looks like we have ragtag group of stowaways. I think they'd be might comfortable in the brig, what say you to that?

[Murmurs of agreement rise from the rest of the crew and some make as if to step forward to do as the captain ordered. He raises his hand though, stopping them.] Or we can put them to work here. It's hardly every day we're off course, and they can be useful in their own way before we set sail. To work, men!

[Cries of "aye, captain!" and other cheers of agreement break the silence of the night as the members of the crew on the deck swarm forward. The captain spins on his heel and heads forward, back to the fo'c'sle deck. At the last moment, he glances back over his shoulder and gives the group a sly grin.]

Welcome aboard the Flying Dutchman.

[And then he simply vanishes.]

He didn't want to think of why he was being ported around again. It had nothing to do with the Avengers or Wanda or much of anything he knew. That was more unsettling the longer he thought about it. There was no Tommy to crack a joke or Kate to take charge and...no Teddy either. Luckily he wasn't in his gear and instead...well dressed like a pirate. Now that part was cool! "Tell me about it," He added after werewolf Billy made a mention to Halloween.

"Could do without being ported who knows where." He added in a low voice before he held up his hands. But things moved quickly and he felt like he was in a movie's beginning. Or something. His blood ran cold at the mention of the flying Dutchman. "From the frying pan into the fire." He said to no one in particular in a quiet, and worried tone. Would his magic be on the fritz here? If not they needed to get gone and do so immediately.

Despite her sea-sickness, Toph stands up and points around to the crew now surrounding her. She ignored the comments that another guy made, who must have been magically teleported here as well.

"Hey! I didn't choose to be on this stupid ship. Get us to land, and do it now." Toph was certainly not a happy earthbender by this point. If they didn't give in, she'd have to march down to where they kept the canon balls and make them give in.

"Your captain must be pretty stupid to get you all lost out here anyway! Why do you guys take orders from that creep?"

Kitten had spent the first minute on board trying to figure out how she'd reached a ship in the first place, swiveling her head back and forth rapidly and assessing the situation. At least there were a few familiar faces here, though she wasn't sure what abilities anyone but the mage might possess. The dragon glared at the captain, scales darkening to scarlet, as the pirate spoke of imprisoning the group; Kitten would like to see him try! No one could imprison a dragon against her will. Tiny tendrils of smoke curled from Kitten's nostrils, though they were probably not noticeable in the dark. Kitten had no love for pirates. Carthaki raiders in the guise of pirates had killed her mother just after Kitten's birth ( ... )

The fact that the captain of the Flying Dutchman expected the newcomers to follow orders ticked him off. Zoro didn't take orders from anyone but his own captain. If the pirate had not vanished so suddenly, Zoro would have had a sword out ready to fight.

Ignoring the fact that he was wearing the clothes he had worn when he officially became a pirate, he rested a hand on the hilt of one of his swords and warily glanced around, silently observing the confusion of the mismatched crowd (what a dragon was doing there was beyond him). After a minute Zoro's patience began to run thin.

"If no one explains what the hell is going on, I may have to blow some shit up to get answers," Zoro spoke up.

[It seemed that were enough people vocal enough and angry enough to cause some damage. A few of the others, like Spin and some people Derek didn't recognize, held some tact, but it only took one to start a fight...]

[Derek crossed his arms and tapped a foot to the wooden deck of the pirate ship. People from Chicago had been transported to this ship, the Flying Dutchman. The captain vanished (so that was something), and he had been expecting their arrival and had spoken to their "masters" about something, possibly about their safety. Despite this, the captain didn't know why they were on the ship. They also seemed lost ( ... )

Ebenezar watched as the captain (of the Flying Dutchman if things were to be believed) disappeared, and he began to draw in his will. He knew the legend of the Dutchman, but the ship was solid enough under his feet. He glanced at the others who had appeared with him, catching snatches of conversation as he did so.

The solid looking young man who'd mentioned David caught his attention. "Suppose it's likely. Ain't suppose anyone know what the fool thing would--" He paused, turning sharply to the green-haired swordsman. "Hope that don't include the ship under our feet. I ain't looking to swim to shore." Ebenezar muttered something under his breath and the tip of his staff glowed like a burning ember, emitting a warm unwavering light. "And shore don't look close by."

This whole thing was turning into a big moment of quasi-chaos, and Spin didn't like it at all. The pirates were annoyed, the people from Chicago were even more annoyed, and also by the way the Flying Dutchman. It was very hard to put all this together in his mind while various discussions of irritation were being shot. He cast Derek a surprised glance--it wasn't often he heard the guy talk so much--and tried not to shudder at Ebenezar's mention of swimming.

"Hey, don't make it bad," the younger agent offered with a tight grin. "All we gotta do is figger out what it is we're doin' here. Makin' a fuss will only make it more complicated on all sides of the equation."
