End of year stuff
This is the second vaguely shitty year in a row. Whatever, this year is fired, I vote for nuking it from orbit. However, I had brunch with queenitsy and she pointed out that a) we have been friends for ten years now and b) 10 years ago was the lowest point of my depression and I have not seriously relapsed since, so I vote for all the wine and celebration for leaving behind bad things.
Maybe next year I will remember how to read words that aren't fanfic. THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
So far vacation has been lovely - I went to visit
pockysquirrel and we watched the Adam has a lot of feelings episodes, and played a bunch of tabletop (D&D, cards against humanity, catan) and also plotted out a ridiculous self indulgent AU that I have been talking about writing ever since I first watched Gokaiger. I visited harmonyangel for more gaming, and I went to see the final performance of Big Fish (which was okay - any Broadway in a storm, but I can see why it closed.)
And now I am sitting on
oliviacirce's couch, which is great, because I rarely get to see her, and also she has heat.
Seven of the 25 fics for Alpha are in (including mine!) and I am trying not to panic, because everyone always turns in fics at the last minute. Which reminds me that I need to write my Holly Poly fic.

Power Rangers, forever and always. Though sentai is sneaking up on it, so can I just say toku in general? (Really, it is Power Rangers. WHATEVER.)

Pacific Rim.

.... Yeah, I read absolutely no real books this year. I mean, there was a HP reread and a Star Wars X-Wing series reread. But. Nope.
4. Your favorite album or song this year:
IDK, I went to a BTR concert?
5. Your favorite TV show this year:
Power Rangers Megaforce! Or possibly Goseiger. That was super delightful.
6. Your favorite LJ/DW community this year:
Ranger Recaps, which we fail at updating. WHATEVER THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR.
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year:
I read literally a million words of Avengers fic in the last two months. And not exactly fannish specifically, but tabletop/board games/pathfinder have made me super happy lately.
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year:
Fuck you, Nickelodeon. YOU CANNOT CONDENSE FIFTY EPISODES INTO TWENTY. WE DID NOT GET TROY PUNCHING THE EVIL OUT OF ROBOKNIGHT AND I AM FOREVER DISAPPOINTED

Adam Park. Or Alata. As usual

11. Your biggest squee moment of the year:

I am having some comics nostalgia, but I am better off without them

I will make it through a Kamen Rider eventually. Maybe I should try Gaim? Everyone seems to love that. And it has dancing fruit.

Super Megaforce. And cowriting this ridiculousness with Pocky.
