mowing,. hedging, trimming & pool set up...

Saturday and Sunday never stopped.  I got a set of new tires from Pep Boys on Saturday and made efficient use of my time while waiting.  Instead of sitting in the waiting area, Walmart was right next store and Chilis accrosss the parkihng lot in walking distance.  So, I walked over to Chilis and got A Soup/Sandwich lunch.  I had this turkey club and Broccolli/Cheese Soup.  It was good.. Then I went over to Walmart to Shop/Grocery Shop.  I say shop because I needed a bunch of things for me and Alan and the house.  Yeah, Tax stimulas check!!  Anyway, I brought Alan socks, underwear.  Me some new sneakers, shoes, coffee Thermal, and bag to carry my lunch in for work.  I got the grocerys last, after they called me to tell me the car was ready.  Then I just went over and filled my trunk up and paid the guys.  Did alot of walking that day, but it was kinda ok.  Saw two mallard ducks in the parking lot, underneath the island by some trees...Dodged alot of cars....but I got my exercise.

That night after I got Alan home, A, alans husband's worker came over to mow my law with his son.  The guy he was supposed to do it with was tied up.  I offered to mow the lawn , instead of having his kid do it, but found out I could not use their mower.  It had a really powerful engine on it and vibrated too much.  My wrists cant take vibrations, since I have slight carpal tunnel.  My mower, if I falied to mention was not working, due to J. flooding the engine with too much oil.  Funny though, I felt so bad, I went down and primmed the thing again and alot of smoke came out and this time the thing started and kept going.  So I mowed about 75%of my back yard.  I was sore, but it felt so good to finally have it all done!!

That night after I got Alan, me and him went and tood advantage of a sale at Rite Aid and I brought him a pool and some supplies.  The girl was really nice about helping us out.  It probably gave her something fun to do...the place was empty...The only thing is she thought the pool did not need chemicals, which is something I did not want to deal with...however, when I got home and read the booklet...we needed chemicals...

Next day Alan helped me clean up all the rotted branches on my fig trees and apple trees.  I sawed off a bunch by hand and we dragged them out to the street. Well you know who really did most of this....but he did try to help... I tried to even off a bunch of the bushes.  Then later we went out  to Walmart (I dont know how I even made it out of the house after all that yard work) , first order of business McDonalds...Hey I needed a break  and had no energy to even make lunch.  Ao after eating I brought the cover for the pool and the chemicals .  Some nice girl there helped us out.  I really did not know where to start...So she told me to buy the starter kit. we also got an electric air pump (something I always wanted)  and some more groceries for the barbeque I am having tomorrow...and some other needed things.

So then we went home and set up the pool...(twice. )  We had to drain the water when it start filling unevenly.. and move it to a better location (not really where I wanted to put it) and it still did not fill to evenly, so I it did not rise all the way..but I am going to try to use it anyway..since its full. My ground in my yard is a hill and is full of uneven places.   I cooked dinner (well actually heated up the leftovers from last night) in the meantime and blew up some of the inflatables with the new electric pump.... Last night I put the cover on the pool..  And then I took a really hot bath after Alan went to bed.  I was sore, irritable and cranky.  I gotta admit I snapped at Alan a few times for getting in the way when setting it up...did not mean it, just was fustrated with it.  Scottie was supposed to come over and help us with it and he ended up doing something with that new church he belongs to..That chuch seems to be taking way to much of his time up and to me seems more cultish...As a freind of his, I am concerned at this point.   They seem to pull him into unexpected things last minute after he made plans with people and he almost acts like he had no choice and cancels...I dont like it..

Now I am sore, stiff and my fingers are partially numb and I am having a bargeque today...I know I am going to take advantage of that pool.  I was planning on using it when Alan goes to bed....but I forgot and got reminded last night of something...Its friggin getting to be Japensese Beatle Season.  I saw a few hiting my screen door last night...(they go for the lights)  Yeach!!! and I dont want to be out there with those dam beatles at night...That sucks...

Hope you have a great Memorial day...I need to stop for now...
