Movie Dante's Inferno 2010
This is a movie that I think came out with the release of the game of the same name.
The game was very bloody, violent, adult themes and full frontal nudity. The story revolves around our hero Dante who finds his family and love murdered after he returns from the crusades. He finds his love and she dies with him seeing her soul rise to heaven but is stopped by lucifer and dragged into hell. Dante follows, going from once circle after another defeating the guardians of each circle as they were presented in the literary piece "Divine Comedy - Dante's Inferno"
The Circles and denizens are ramped up in the twisted and grotesque for the game being as graphic as they could be.
The movie takes the same monsters and tortured souls and reproduces them for the animation. The movie is split up into the 9 circles and almost each section is animated with a different chief animator. With only key details each animator gave their own rendition of Dante. Some were rotoscoped detail, others were looser in detail and more fantastic in design. The shift in style may take some people out of the story since its a single arc screen play vs anthology.
In all, its a good companion piece to the game, on its own I would not recommend it unless you intend to play the game or just enjoy animation.
One funny thing though, the female lead is nude throughout as a soul and her bust goes from a healthy A in the beginning to a ample DD after her corruption and keeps them after redemption.
