HERE!! “Five thousand, eight hundred and thirty five.”
“How in th’ world do ya do that? It’s like you have some sorta computing… machine… thing in your head!”
“C.mon, try gain!” Maes took another swig of their contraband beer, swaying slightly as he spoke in a slowed, slurred speech.
Roy thought for a second, then smiled rather evilly. “Five hundred twenty two, times two hundred and ninety eight.” He crossed his arms triumphantly and grinned smugly- thinking that the computing genius couldn’t give him that high of a number.
It only took Maes a moment to respond- his face devoid of emotion as he spoke. “One hundred and fifty five thousand, five hundred and fifty six.”
Roy was silent while he grabbed a scratch piece of paper and scribbled down the problem. He stared at it, then did it again to make sure that he was correct. He glanced at Maes, who was calmly sipping at his drink, the smug smile threatening to engulf his entire face.
“Damn,” was all that Roy could mutter. Impossibly, Maes’ smile grew even more. He took one last swig of the beer that he had been nursing for the past 15 minutes, grimacing slightly at the bitter aftertaste of the cheap brew.
“I said it before, and I’ll say it again. Yer a nerd.”
Maes pouted, putting his newly empty beer can down on the floor, adding it to the ever growing pile of empty brews that they had been working on all evening. “Aw, that’s mean. Why ya have to tease me?” He tried to sound pathetic, but his slurred speech made him hard to understand.
“Di’ I ever tell ya that you’re cute when you pout?” Roy added his own now empty beer can to the pile and let out a little belch, using the excuse to lean over and give his still fuming lover a kiss on the lips and causing Maes to blush slightly.
“Are you tryin’ to take advantage of your inebri-…um… enibray… uh… drunk roommate?” Maes slurred, hiccupping halfway through trying to form the words on his semi-numb tongue, though he made no motion to try to move away from his quickly advancing roommate.
Roy stalked, almost predatorily towards Maes, crawling on his hands and knees for the last couple of feet that separated the two young men, with a dangerous look in his dark eyes.
Even through the haze of alcohol, Maes felt a twinge of nervousness. For most of this still budding relationship, he had the one who been the initiator. But this was totally different. He had never seen Roy so aggressive.
Not that he really minded too much, now that he thought about it.
He didn’t have very long to ponder this new side of his roommate before Roy had his arms on either side of Maes’ body. He leaned forward and up, and Maes felt his hot breath under his chin. He smelt the very faint smoke and ash from his daily alchemic practice, and the alchemist’s cologne assaulted his nostrils and burnt slightly.
“Roy-” anything else that he was going to say was cut off by the ebon haired man kissing him yet again, pressing his lips close, his tongue asking for- and gaining- entrance into the taller man’s mouth.
Roy continued to press forward as he kissed his roommate, pressing Maes backwards. Eventually he gave up and laid back onto the cold, concrete floor-, where its absolute lack of heat seeped through this normal thick military uniform and made him shiver slightly.
The alchemist crawled over the sprawled man, kneeling over his prone body and pressing downwards, grinding his hips slightly into the taller man’s groin, his own heat already rising and his body already responding to the touch, taste and smell of his still new lover.
Slowly, he lowered himself, still fully clothed, over Maes, feeling the man’s stiff body press against his. He leaned down and licked lightly at Maes’ ear, the exhalation of his breath sounding like a low rumbling in his eardrum.
“Why don’t we go somewhere more comfortable?” Roy practically purred into his ear, while his hand fiddled with one of the buttons on Maes’ uniform jacket.
For a brief moment, something that almost looked like fear shone in the taller man’s eyes. He was smart enough to know what was on the alchemist’s mind. He had known that this day would come, and part of him wanted this as well, but this was all still new to him, and he wasn’t sure what to do or say. They had talked about it in the past, but now that moment was here. Still, he thought, it seemed right.
Roy stopped for a moment, leaning up and looking at the man underneath him, worry and a bit of disappointment showing through. “Do… you want me to stop?” He asked.
There was a brief moment of quiet stillness before Roy got his answer. In one swift moment, Maes sat up and used the leverage and both of his hands, along with his superior size and weight to push Roy off of him, making the shorter man tumble slightly backwards. Maes had a goofy grin on his face, and Roy’s grin soon matched his own.
Maes stood up and started to unbutton the gold buttons on his blue military jacket, while he walked over to Roy’s small bed and sat down, stating to undress fully. Roy sat on the floor for a moment, a stunned look on his face, somewhat bewildered by the quickly changing turn of events, His blank, semi-vacant eyes were glassed over in an alcoholic haze.
“Well?”
Roy shook his head, trying to clear his somewhat clouded mind before he smiled and stood up shakily. “Coming.” He walked towards the door, locking it and turning off the light- throwing the room into darkness and thrown shadows, before carefully picking his way through the darkness towards his own bed. He took off his boots, jacket, and pants, before laying down next to his already naked roommate.
It was about that time that Roy secretly thanked a God that he didn’t really believe in that he had been given Maes Hughes as a roommate.
