Percy knew there was something weird going on around the island and while going out there and twirling Riptide around seemed like it might be fun, he'd taken to staying inside and staying out of it. When Luke had brought his elderly self (he was old, Percy decided) over there the other day, video game systems in hand, Percy even had more reason not to go outside.
Now, Percy sucked pretty bad at most video games but it was still entertaining to do something where he was teamed up with Luke so he could intentionally make them lose. And it was fun to throw the controller at Luke's head just like he'd done seconds ago.
"You suck at this game," Percy said even if it was he who sucked and he who kept making them lose. "Jerkface."
