After class, Percy (and his headache) had come back to his room so he could take a few aspirin, turn off the lights and flop belly first on his bed. He figured the fact that he had a headache was deserved and that water could heel most things but a headache wasn't really physical so he was stuck dealing

Percy totally didn't deserve Luke checking up on him because he was an idiot, but he was doing it anyway. The things he did for your stupid ass, Jackson.

He figured popping in wouldn't be a good idea, so he decided to be polite and knock on the door lightly. If Percy didn't answer then, yeah, he'd just go in. He could only be polite for so long.

It took Percy a few seconds to realize that knocking was on the door and not in his head. He considered it a success that he got that far.

"Yeah?" he asked, voice half muffled by pillows. "What?"

"It's me," Luke said. Well, he was alive. That was something.

"Oh." He didn't say anything for a few seconds, thinking Luke would just pop in like he usually did. When he didn't, Percy added, "You can come in. I'm here."

He did pop in after that, appearing right by the door. "Yeah, I figured you were in here when I heard your voice."

So dense.

"How are you feeling?" Luke asked, flopping down onto the spare bed. Percy looked comfortable where he was, so he didn't want to bother him.

"How do I look?" Percy asked, half sarcastic and half serious. He honestly didn't know how he looked right now.

"I've seen you look better," he said honestly. "But you don't look completely horrific."

"The water took care of most of that," Percy admitted, shrugging. "It didn't touch my headache though. I can't seem to shake that."

"Well you did get knocked in the head pretty good," Luke said. "At least you have the pleasure of knowing Nico looks like he got hit by a bus."

"Yeah, haven't talked to him." Kind of embarrassed to talk to him, if he was honest. "I can't believe that freaking happened."

[trickydemigod]

"Kinda took me by surprise too." Didn't make it any less hilarious. "I don't think I've seen that in all my years of teaching. Sort of impressive."

"Yeah, I'm so thrilled to give you something new to see," he said and turned over onto his back, eyes still closed. "I swear, if this gets around, I'll drown you."

"Who would I tell? The only person that would get amusement out of that would be Jason and he was there," Luke said. "Oh, I guess Kate would find it funny too, but I'll keep my mouth shut."

"Yeah, don't tell, Kate," he said, rolling off his bed so he could go flop down next to Luke and rest his aching head against Luke's shoulder. "She seems to love catching me guard."

Luke smiled a little at Percy coming over to him and kissed the top of his head lightly. "And I'm sure you never do anything to provoke her, right?"

"Of course not." Yeah, that was a lie. Still, that thought somehow shook loose another one from Percy's mind. "So, I talked to Leia earlier this week..."
