Rise and Shine
For the rest time in a long time, my alarm goes off and I have to reach over Alex to turn it off. He actually came home. I may have been asleep when he got here, but he came home. I think that means more to me then it should.
I quickly flip my alarm off so it doesn't wake him. Although I'm sure he has to do in soon anyways. I lay on my side and just watch him sleeping, it's almost creepy, but I bet this is when his mom thought he was the cutest as a kid. It's the cutest I've seen him in awhile. I just wish things could go back to the way they used to be. Maybe they will when we finally get a new plastics attending. Addison would make my year if she would just hire someone already.
I lay back down for a moment, knowing I have to get into the hospital and do pre op everything because we have no interns and hardly any second year residents. I wish we could just stay like this forever.
