Surgery Hours

It's been a long day of surgeries today - just how I like it and the best part is the day is nowhere close to being over. These are the days that I always look forward to the most, next to no paperwork, back-to-back surgeries, hardly enough time to eat. Although I know tomorrow I'll have mountains of paperwork to catch up on, it doesn't stop me

"No way. I'm hoping that he'll run far far away from cardio and leave me the hell alone," I mutter, reaching for a blue towel, "What's next baby?"

I love when we're booked up like this.

"I'd forgotten how much fun it was torturing interns," I say. "And next up is Mrs. Baxter for a valve replacement."

"Oooh, mechanical valve or porcine?"

[drpburke]

"Mechanical, but first I'm going to need some coffee," I say as I open the door, waiting for Cristina to leave.

"Can I do the annuloplasty?"

[drpburke]

"Does that come with a please?" I tease.

[drcristinayang]

"No," I say, lowering my voice. "But it comes with a thank you when we get home."

I nudge her slightly, "You're a bad influence," I say with a grin.

"I'm a wonderful wife," I say matter-of-factly.

"I don't dispute that at all," I say, looking down at my watch. "You know we may just have time for you to say a quick please before our surgery."

I grin, "Coffee. And maybe some kissing. That's the most please you're getting right now. We have a full schedule."

"I am aware that we have a full schedule and I think that will be more than enough please," I say returning her grin.

[drcristinayang]

"You're insatiable," I murmur as we get to the coffee cart. I wouldn't have him any other way.

"You complaining?" I tease, before I place our order.

[drcristinayang]

"Never," I answer with a smirk before glancing down over my patient list. We're going to be here forever tonight.

"Good," I say, handing the cashier some money.
