Surgery Hours
It's been a long day of surgeries today - just how I like it and the best part is the day is nowhere close to being over. These are the days that I always look forward to the most, next to no paperwork, back-to-back surgeries, hardly enough time to eat. Although I know tomorrow I'll have mountains of paperwork to catch up on, it doesn't stop me from enjoying the high of the OR for today.
Cristina, Avery and I scrub out of another surgery - our fourth one today and I disguise a smirk as Avery practically runs out of the scrub room. Cristina's been watching him like a hawk and I don't think my questions have been helping in the slightest. I look over at Cristina, "You think you could go a little easy on him," I say, trying not to laugh.
