Car title
Hello, Seattle! I will try to explain my situation in a shortest way possible.
I have a bad credit and needed a new car. My bf agreed to get a loan in his name and I will be the one paying the car off. The car is from Michigan, the title was mailed to him from Michigan, and it had only his name on it.
I want my name to be added to the title, since I am the one who is going to pay for the car. He said he will do it. Last Saturday we went to DOL to register car in WA state.
My name was added to the registration certificate, and title will be with the bank my bf got loan from, until the car is paid off.
The actual question: does having my name on registration mean that my name is going to be added to the title? He said it does, but I have doubts. Can anyone answer this for me? I am not from this state, or even country for that matter, so I am not familiar with the laws. Thanks!
