Outdoor photography class recommendations?

My SO is the proud owner of an older DSLR camera and an outdoor enthusiast. His birthday is coming up, so I thought that an outdoor photography class will be a great present to get him used to the features and settings on his camera, as well as practical tips for photographing outdoors in rugged terrain with variable weather.

Any ideas on good outdoor photography classes? Personal experiences?
