Purty purty flowers

I'm looking for some recommendations for flowering bushes to put in my mostly-shaded yard of my zero lot line townhouse. I face west, except that by "face" I mean "there's a tall wooden fence there." My house and two cherry trees provide the rest of the shade. Am I out of luck? How does your garden grow, seattle?
