Stuck in the Oakland Airport
Well I dropped auntiematter off at the Southwest departures gate, go into Alameda to get gas for the rental car, drop off the rental car, take the shuttle to the Southwest terminal and attempt to check my bag. Of course no luck. The flight leaves at 11:00 PST and it is 5:30 PST. They wont accept bagage more that 4 hours before the flight. So I am stuck OUTSIDE the secure zone where there are almost no services. Fortunately the kind lady in the news stand let me in before actually opening her kiosk and let me buy some trail mix. But no coffee people yet.
Oakland now has "Free" (as in advertisement driven) WiFi. It seems to work OK after getting past the terms of service screen and the advertisements. So this is how I am posting stuff.
I will get into Oklahoma City about 21:20 CST. But at least I will be able to have breakfast here at Oakland and perhaps dinner in Dallas.
