I'm so thankful that you two made the time to give us another chapter. I loved the reluctant Giles/Spike bonding in this one. And the bit where S4!Spike was fantasising about Willow BUFFY Willow was great fun :-)

Ahhh, this is such a complete delight. <33 So good and so, so funny! I love Spike expertly annoying Giles and Giles forming theories about the future (he thinks he's so smart), and I love Spike's voice and POV, and, also, Spike daydreaming about Buffy is such a nice way to recap what happened in previous chapters

Oh man, the face-off between Giles and year-and-a-half older Spike is wonderful. They are both so full of it. (I'm glad Giles is still feeling guilty for his impulsive letter-burning. Tsk.)

Of course, Spike/Willow sounds great to original-flavor Spike, in theory. Because, you know, not blonde. But when you get down to fantasy brass tacks, as it were, there's just not enough, um, friction.

I love book POV. I know a sock that would probably want to set book straight.
