"The goal was scored a little bit by the hand of God, another bit by the head of Maradona."~Maradona
It's been a while...3 months to be exact. I've been meaning to update, but I wondered if it was too late to save my journal...ah well, better late than never!
This reminds me of when I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and I was pretty nervous, I haven't gotten my teeth cleaned in a while. Yeah, it was a while all right-I hadn't gotten my teeth cleaned in 4 years. Lovely, eh?
Anyway, in the time I wasn't sleeping or eating, I was watching the World Cup. You could say I'm pretty obsessed with it. Ever since it started I've been watching it live. If I'm not watching it live, I'm watching recordings of it. If I'm not watching recordings of it, I'm talking about it. If I'm not talking about it, I'm looking up info about it. If I'm not doing that, I'm thinking of it. If I'm not thinking about it, I''m dreaming about it. (I literally had a dream about it. My dad said, "EVERYBODY, WE'RE GOING TO SOUTH AFRICA!" And it's pretty obvious why we'd be going to a random country at this time of the year. :P)
Of course, this is all while I'm listening to the theme song of it. (Shakira-Waka Waka if you didn't know)
And just for the heck of it, I'll list my top five players.
1. Tim Howard
He is my idol. I just love him.
2. Keisuke Honda
He's just awesome.
3. Lionel Messi
Best footballer on the Argentinian team
4. Julio Cesar
Brazilian goalkeeper-I have a lot of respect for goalkeepers, it's really hard to play that position.
5. Robert Green
Can't forget this guy, can we? Isn't he amazing? :)
Anyway, it's two in the morning and I should really get my sleep to watch the match at 10. BRAZIL FTW!
(I root for Brazil if you couldn't tell.)
