Breakfast at Flanagan's - for jack_flanagan

Something smells good was the first thought Jane had as she started to slowly rise from a deep slumber. For a small person, she took up a remarkably large space in the bed, as she was lying on her stomach with her arms and legs spread out as far as they would reach. In her own bed that meant her hands were just dangling over the edges. In Jack's ( Read more... )

As soon as the door was closed behind them Jane dropped the bag on the floor, set her coffee down on the table and wrapped her arms around Jack's waist. She waggled her eyebrows before pressing her lips to his for an extended but soft kiss.

"It's about time. I've been dying to do that since we left." She had a bit of the 'grass is always greener' syndrome going on. When they were alone in his place and could be as affectionate as they wanted, she desired some fresh air. Once they got outside where there were societal rules to appropriate touching in public, all she wanted to do was get his clothes off again. She found herself in quite the predicament.

She unzipped his coat for him and pushed it back off of his shoulders, deftly catching it behind him before it hit the floor. She then hung it up as she took off her own, then slipped off her shoes with a happy sigh. She loved being in her bare feet (or socked feet, as the case was at that moment).

His brow raised at her hug and kiss before they were out of their coats. It wasn't a negative response. He was reacting to the way she acted as if he were out of reach while they were out. Jack enjoyed the attention regardless of the eccentricity of it. He chuckled softly and hummed appreciatively while they kissed. His arms couldn't wrap snug around her from the grocery bag he carried with coffee also in hand.

"Did you want dessert now?" he asked while she started removing his coat for him. His large hands easily carried both items in one, alternating in the process to rid the winter wear. Something about the look in her eye made Jack wonder if Jane would manage to stop at just their coats. He used his feet to kick off the boots he wore. The heated flooring made it very comfortable to walk around on in socks or barefoot.

She was tempted to tell him that he was all the dessert she needed, but it sounded cheesy even in her head. Instead she shook her head and slid one hand underneath his shirt and up his back, just to feel the softness and heat of his skin.

"I can wait for food. What I can't wait for any more is cuddles. To the couch!" She tugged on his hand and dragged him over to plop down on the sofa.

He only veered slightly to set down the grocery bag and coffee before collapsing on the couch with Jane. Only once comfortably sat on the furniture close to her did Jack realize that he should've kept the bag close. Cuddling led to the need for condoms and his only batch were in the grocery bag. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather laying down in bed? It was a quite tiring trek," he teased while enveloping her in his muscular arms.

"Hmm, there's an idea." She grinned and snuggled into his arms, wrapping her own around his shoulders. It was still remarkable to her, how she felt like his arms had been made just to fit her. She kissed him again, softer this time.

"Didn't you say you had some work to do?" She was perfectly happy staying on the couch, cuddling, watching a movie or just a random tv show. She had him close and all to herself once again. What they actually did with their time together mattered much less than simply being with him.

Jane kissed him softer and suddenly he was craving for more intimacy. She was petite to say the least but Jack felt that she perfectly fit in his arms. He cantered his head to a side and playfully whined. "Work will be there later!" His grin turned immediately crooked then he sighed. "But it's probably better that I get most of it done now so we have the rest of the night free." After all, it was their last night before his job and her research would separate them.

"Let me grab my laptop. I don't think I have any plans that need sketching. I should be able to get everything done here," he said while extracting himself from Jane. "Feel free to watch whatever you want on the telly. I'll only be a moment." Jack gathered his things and set them on the coffee table then made one last trip of retrieving their coffees before sitting down on the couch again.

For a split second Jane held onto him, reluctant to let him go. She reminded herself that if she gave into the urge to strip him down every time it occurred to her, that she would end up unable to walk by the next morning. They had to spend time doing something other than having sex. That was normal, right?

She let him go with a swat on the behind, then set about getting her bag of M&M's and the remote control while he fetched his laptop. She was interested to see what his work involved - mostly because she found him interesting, not architecture. Jane propped her socked feet up on the coffee table, took a sip of her coffee, and started flpping through channels. It was a typical Sunday for television - not much on.

Once he sat down she snuggled just a little closer, but not so close that he wouldn't be able to type if he needed to. She gave him a sideways glance and then returned her attention to the television, which had landed on some unidentifiable black and white western. Ugh. Click!

Given that he wasn't in a relationship and hadn't been able to maintain one, Jack wasn't a good judge of what was normal. He did have work to do and reluctantly got to it. Jane would be a terrible distraction, not the television or anything else. Just to take in her scent and have her in hand's reach yet keeping his focus away from her was torture. However, he did live by the philosophy that the best things came to those who waited.

Jack brought a messenger bag along with his laptop. He set up shop at the end of the sofa and gave himself enough room to be near to his guest yet be able to get his work done. For now, he busied with 3D renderings on his Macbook Pro then set them to upload when he was satisfied with the final product. He had no idea what Jane was watching or doing on the couch. It wasn't unusual that work would pull him into another world.

Jane flipped channels until she found old repeats of The X-Files on the Science Channel. They were good ones too, from the first season. She tucked her legs under her, leaning in Jack's direction, and tore the corner off the bag of M&M's. She ate them one at a time in between sips of coffee.

She found herself looking over at what Jack was doing several times. He was quickly lost in his work, and she was surprised to find that it didn't bother her. She liked watching his face, the way his eyes moved over the computer screen. His fingers deftly danced across the keys, and as she watched them she could see them in her mind, dancing over her skin. She smiled, leaned her head to rest it on his shoulder, then kissed his shoulder and went back to watching Mulder stalk an unknown creature through a dark sewer.

A number of blueprints were reviewed and edited, then emails and Jack stretched back (leaving his laptop perched on his lap) as the screen informed him his battery was on reserve. He left his hands hanging off the back of the couch behind him with a soft scowl at the warning. "How long have I been at it?" he questioned and moved his arms down, one at his side and the other behind where Jane sat.

By the time he emerged from his work focus, Jane was snuggled against the arm of the sofa, half asleep. The marathon on the tv was still going, her coffee cup and bag of candy were empty, and she was comfortably in the relaxing zone. When he spoke it broke her out of her stupor. She blinked at him slowly, as if she'd just woken up. In a way, her brain just had.

"A couple hours, I think? I'm not sure, I kinda zoned out there." She nestled her toes under his leg playfully, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Did you get everything done that you wanted?"

"Work-wise, definitely. I'm all ready for tomorrow..." Jack picked up her feet and set them over his thighs then reached for Jane, pulling her onto his lap. "...I believe we have unfinished business though. It's time I redeem myself before this officially becomes the most boring date you've ever had." His voice was hardly teasing. There was seduction and determination all on her. That same focus remained intent on being a positive force in her life.

He didn't go completely in for the kill. While there was no denying his want, Jack wasn't oblivious to how she spent her day. "Should we have a meal first or is there still time for that?" His arms were snug around Jane and he kept his desire at bay until she gave a clear sign of which direction to go.

Jane let out a soft 'ooh' as he pulled her into his lap, a smile spreading across her lips. It took her no time at all to wake up from her couch potato stupor. His lap was warm from the laptop. She barely felt it over the feeling she got from the look in his eyes. His stare was focused, slightly predatory, and completely and utterly on her. His ability to make her feel like the most important thing in the world was magical. All memory of the prior few hours melted in the face of those eyes.

"Mmm, I'm not sure. Suddenly I'm hungry for more than one thing." Her hands ghosted up his arms and his shoulders until her fingers entwined behind his head and pulled his lips to hers. There was no point in being subtle or coy with him - not after the prior night and the morning they had spent together. She didn't have to be anything other than herself. And at that moment, her desire for him was outweighing her desire to fill her stomach.

It was hard to believe this was the same woman who had been wary of him when they met on the subway platform. The surprise was not negative on Jane. Jack couldn't help but wonder if they would burn so hot that they might fade away like the stars she was so fond of. Yet he couldn't deny her. He wanted her with equal fervor. There was something strong but honest in her. She held a simple beauty while utterly complex.

"Happy to be of service in every way possible," he smiled at her lips before deepening the kiss. The teasing reply was thick in a Scottish accent. Jane made him lose his senses. How he managed to finish any work was beyond him at the moment. Scent, feel and taste quickly fueled him to a ravenous hunger for intimacy again with her. Jack tried pouring everything in the way his mouth moved at hers.

Jane felt the heat of his skin under her hands, and began to melt into him. She knew in that moment he was either going to be very good for her or very, very bad. The inhibitions that had held her back for so long disappeared in the wake of his touch and his kiss. It was impossible to remember her past heartbreaks when he kissed her so passionately.

She parted her lips for him, wanting to feel his tongue against hers once more. She shifted in his lap, squirming to move one leg aside and straddle him while never breaking the kiss. She wanted him closer, not further apart. She needed his hands beneath her clothes. She craved his skin against hers even more strongly than when they'd first returned from their brief excursion outside. Her hands began to tug on his shirt in an effort to make that happen.

Carefully, he shifted and aided her in pulling off his shirt. His lips only remained off of Jane when blocked by the fabric. If she had any doubt of his interest, hopefully his actions now told her otherwise. Jack kissed nearly every inch of her neck then rendered her topless. Yet his didn't immediately gravitate toward her breasts but passionately connected with her mouth again as his hands teased the mounds on her chest.

The position on his couch was perfect. Jack fumbled with the fastening on her jeans then his own as his mouth finally moved down and littered her cleavage with swipes of his tongue and soft kisses. He didn't want Jane to move off from straddling him and hoped to shimmy off her bottoms and push his own down far enough when she was ready. His hands made quick work of her bra in the meanwhile and he leaned his head back again for another passionate kiss.
