Last Friday, Jodi, Kelly, Troy and I took a day trip to Alki Beach, Seattle. I took a bunch of hi-res pics (of the beach, waves, barnacles, driftwood, and a jellyfish), and I'm releasing a zip of them into the public domain.

Jodi and I won't be in the same part of the country on Halloween, so we carved some pumpkins early. Here's her Pumpkitty and my Scariest Pumpkin Ever!

Also, Jodi and I bought some hazelnuts from the farmer's market yesterday. How is it possible that I lived 38 years without discovering how yummy hazelnuts are???

Malachi likes to sit on my desk and look out my window. Across the courtyard, one floor down, is an apartment with another black cat. They've taken to watching each other. Malachi swishes his tail vigorously whenever this other cat is in view. The other cat's human, Larry (who I introduced myself to just a few minutes ago) says his cat is similarly ( Read more... )

It was a great visit!
She is visiting me in Seattle after she takes her LSAT at the end of the month!
I'm sure I have much to do at the office!

A block from my apartment is this used bookstore called Twice-Sold Tales. The store has several cats living in it, and sometimes you see one of them in the front display window. Last week I caught this guy licking the glass, and actually managed to get a photo of him with his tongue sticking out. Silly cat!

I live across the street from the University of Washington campus. I like it here. Except that once or twice a week, some moron from the facilities dept decides to use a leafblower up and down the sidewalk at 6 a.m., usually on the rare days that I'm trying to sleep in.
