WTP
So the We The People Trip was interesting. Of course it was in Lake Havasu City, which can lightly be described as a dump that happens to have the original London Bridge (yes the original one, they moved it, in London they now have the "Tower Bridge" which replaces it) and some semi-decent homes for retired people as well as some huge ass homes for the boat lovers. So, we were supposed to stay at Super 8, which if you didn't know is very similar to Motel 6 and is just as dirty. Our room was very small, but apparently Mrs. Waller had hairs all over her bed and puke over the floor. So being Mrs. Waller she calls up the district coordinator and we move hotels to the Howard Johnson next door. This hotel was 34435345 times better and had a patio with a view of the lake outside our room. However, it's still just a HoJo in the middle of nowhere, so there was a LOT of room for improvement. So, we have like 6 hours of down time, so Samir, Hobby and I decide to watch trading spouses and it's very interesting, however, right at the good part, the power goes out. So a bunch of people starting dancing on my patio, which was fun for awhile, but got boring, so I went and gossiped with the people in Stronz's room. The power came on, watched Barack Obama on the Tonight Show and then watched "To Catch a Predator" on Dateline NBC, which is always fun. If you haven't seen it, they lure perverts to homes of 13 year old decoys and catch them as they try to exploit them. The people are so stupid, it's hilarious. Went to bed at two and woke up at 4:50.
The competition itself went fine, we won, but we expected to win. I really hope we win state because I love Washington D.C. and it's been awhile since my last visit to the capitol. The bus ride home was ok, I slept. When I got home I went to dinner with the familia then got free drinks at starbucks, because I pretty much know the entire staff.. The trip was definately better than I thought it would be, to the underclassmen, I advise taking this class next year. Au Revoir.
