I have recently come to a realization that I am proud of. I say all these things about wanting to find the right guy and a nice guy and all that shit that girls say and dont really mean. But last night I was talking to one of my friends over a nice Taco Bell dinner, and he asked me what girls really want. He said that he's tried being the nice guy, and he's tried being the asshole guy, but he is sick of being "that guy". Then I proceeded to tell him, without even thinking about it, girls don't want a nice guy, and that is why they will break up with a guy because they are "too nice". Girls also dont want a jerk, but will put up with one because they are at least themselves. I told him that a girl wants a BEST FRIEND. After I said it I realized that was my problem with guys. I try to hard to find the right one who will treat me right and all that shit, but in reality, if you find a guy you can get along with, you can talk about anything with, and are attracted to, that is all you need. All the rest will fall in place. If he is your best friend, he will treat you right because he cares about you and wouldn't ever want to do anything to hurt you. If he is your best friend, you guys will want to spend as much time together as possible (relationship oriented girls like that) and he won't ditch you to go to Monday Night Football at Hooter's with his buddies. He would totally take YOU! Think about it. It makes perfect sense, and I don't know why I never really put it all together before now. My ex (because I moved away) was this guy, and I should have never thought anything different concerning relationships. Now all I have to do is find a best friend....
