So here we are, 2020 - a global pandemic, and lots of writing.
At the moment, I'm on just over 14k of an actual real life novel, and re rewrite of the Madness of Kings (now called Aftermath - yes, I know I recycle titles) is up on ffnet. It was a struggle, not least because first of all I cocked up the title, forgetting that it doesn't like the same title in the same fandom by the same author. Then I discovered the whole archive was having one massive hissy-fit and nothing was loading in. Very stressful.
Ironside: Aftermath is currently at just over 102K words, which is officially the longest single piece of writing I've ever done. And it is very close to being complete. Just need to sort a little bit out at the end and that should be about it. It goes into things I find I keep writing about, friendship, loyalty, betray, loss and pain. I look back at my fic writing and I see myself circling these themes, over and over and over and I didn't actually realise until I stopped to think about it. And I'm not bored of them yet (cf 102k word fic mentioned above!).
Anyway, here's the link -
Ironside: Aftermath.
Real life here is pretty hard work. Not sure quite what is going on in real life work, or with real life people, or just in real life in general. I might just give up on real life and go and live in my writing worlds instead. It would be much easier like that.
