Some awesome quotes from Heather Mills after being awarded $33.6 million in her divorce from Paul McCartney:
"It was an incredible result in the end to secure mine and my daughter's future and that of all the charities that I obviously plan on helping and making a difference with because you know it has been my life for 20 years

It's good that you know that. Too many people seem to be willing to make judgements on various cases without really knowing anything about the case (I know lots of people who flatly state that "O.J. got away with murder", despite the fact that they did not attend the trial, nor were sequestered with the jury as they deliberated over the evidence presented and acquitted him).
In this instance, though, I'm going on the basis of all the various quotes of her in the media. While I'll allow that quotes can be taken out of context, the ones I've cited here don't seem contextually-based. She just comes off as rather whingey, and eager to remind everyone that she is a paragon of virtue who deserves a whackload of money for having been married to a Beatle for four years.

did you hear the clip where she said that poor bubby Beatrice will only get $35000 (I can't do a pound symbol!) per year, which means she will have to fly B class while her father flies A class...?
I can't be sympathetic to a 4yo who 'only' earns $35000 p.a.

What slays me is that Heather was originally asking for $250 million. I'm thinking her figuring went something like this:
Food for Beatrice:$10,000/year
Clothes:$20,000
Lodging:$50,000
School:$100,000
Airfare:$50,000
Sundry Items (shampoo, nappies, etc): $249,000,000
I'm pulling those figures out of the air, but even if she figured it would cost, say, $20 million to raise little Beatrice in a fitting manner, she's still got $230 million in pocket money. I'm just so tired of people who feel they're entitled to ridiculous sums of money just because the other party involved has ridiculous sums of money (e.g. if I bump someone else's car, we exchange insurance information and move on; if Lindsay Lohan bumps someone else's car, she gets sued for $3 million because she's rich).
