Because I'm actually reading for pleasure again! Well, okay, I've been reading a bit for pleasure all along, only with really long intervals between books. But I am making a concerted effort at this point. Anyway, I am on a non-fiction kick, and I bought what I thought was a biography of Hildegard von Bingen. Instead, the introduction was this
