Accounting

One rejection, resubbed. Queried for three pieces that have been with their respective markets for 5-6 months. Haven't heard back from Aberrant Dreams, so I don't think I got the slushing gig. Eh. Finding time for it would have been tricky, so while it would be all kinds of useful, I'm not sure I'll try for another such position until I'm a little more settled in my writing routine.

Also, my boss loaned me a car to use this week, because she's out of town and Spouse's hours are bizarre, so we can't count on me having our car. Well, ours is an SUV, and the boss' is not, and as I was getting into it today, my spatial awareness crapped out and I didn't get down far enough before sliding in, so I ended up whacking the right side of my head hard. Then, to make the experience complete, I clipped the corner of a building turning in the parking lot, which popped off the trim panel on the back passenger door. I stopped, picked up the panel, put it in the car, verified that the building was indeed completely unhurt, and exercised great caution coming back to the office. Where I've promptly taken a painkiller, mulled over my boss' likely reaction when she gets back, and recalled that Easter weekend is traditionally not a great time for me.

I guess there's something to be said for predictability. Thank goodness there's a Friday the 13th coming up to make up for it.

not at my best, accounting, to slush or not to slush, po'try!
