I'm a cautious person, conservative when it comes to risk taking. When under the influence of strong emotion I am wary of acting, of doing something ill considered. Well, inspired by all the baking that people have been doing, and the arrival of our new oven, I decided to try a few things. Those being a banana loaf, and acarrot cake. I'm glad to see that a number of my friends have had happy Thanksgiving weekends. We don't really have much in the way of extended family around here, so we don't make it a big thing, but we did go up a bit north of Aurora to take in some of the high colour saturation, sharp edged, clear autumn scenery and enjoy a filling country-ish dinner.
