Family Secret (03x16)

Another murder that's not a murder in an episode full of hash. I should start paying attention to the writers; maybe I can figure out which ones are the most fond of it and avoid them.

The friend of the victim is so well done. Very good. Great actor.

The basketball game scene is well done. The camera work makes it look as if Tony really knows what he's doing (which, of course, he should). He's got absolutely the wrong shoes on, though.

I love the way Jenny takes off her shoes when Gibbs brings her dinner.

Gibbs is in a really nasty mood throughout this episode. This happens every so often, Gibbs will go from being tough but fair to being a real bastard-more of a bastard, in fact, than when he regularly referred to himself as a bastard. I find it more noticeable in this episode because of the scenes where he's nice, like when Tony sprains his ankle and when he took dinner to the director. My favorite scene of this type is when he head slapped himself for being a party to the cover-up.

I liked the mystery. It was nice for once that there was no murder. What the father did was sad, but his reason for doing it was good. It would've been even better if the father hadn't involved the friend.
